How Should Your Child Dress for Class?

We strive to achieve a professional and learning astmosphere. Those students improperly dressed will be asked to observe, rather than actively participate in class.

No street shoes on the dance floor.
Hair is to be worn pulled neatly away from face, and securely pinned back for all levels.
Keep jewelry to a minimum.

Ballet & Pointé

Solid color leotard, footed tights, pink ballet / pointé shoes. Hair must be worn in a pony tail or bun, ballet skirt.

Tap

Solid color leotard or dance top, dance pants or shorts, no street clothes, black taps.

Jazz

Solid color leotard or dance top, dance pants or shorts, no street clothes or large tops, jazz shoes.

Contemporary & Hip Hop

Loose dance clothes, foot mittens, barefoot, or dance sneakers, NO STREET CLOTHES

Boys

Loose fitting pants, T-Shirt or tank top.

General information: Hair is to be worn away from the face. Presentable attire is accepted by student to enable the teacher's evaluation for correct placement. Ballet skirt, jazz pants, and dance shorts are accepted.

3-4 Years - Dance Classes
Pre-Ballet
Black or pink leotard, pink tights, pink leather Ballet shoes, optional Ballet skirt. Hair must be pulled back and away from face.
Toddler Ballet/Tap
Black or pink leotard, pink tights, pink leather Ballet shoes, black Tap shoes, optional Ballet skirt. Hair must be pulled back and away from face.

3-4 Years - Dance/Tumble Combo Classes
Black or pink leotard, Black Jazz capri's or pants. No Shorts! Black Tap shoes or black Jazz shoes. Hair must be pulled back and off the face.

5-9 Years - All Combo Dance Classes
Black or pink leotard, pink tights, pink leather Ballet shoes, optional Ballet skirt, black Jazz shoes, black Jazz pants, or black capris, black Tap shoes with Tap ties (No ribbons). Hip Hop dance sneakers. No previously worn sneakers! Hair must be pulled back and off the face.

Ballet I
Black or pink leotard, pink tights, pink leather Ballet shoes, optional Ballet skirt or black dance shorts. Hair must be pulled back and off the face. No street shorts.

Tap I
Black or pink leotard, tan tights, black Tap shoes, with tap ties (No ribbons). This helps to keep the class moving. Black dance pants, or capris, thin socks or tan tights. Hair must be pulled back and off the face.

Jazz I
Black or pink leotard, tan tights, black slip-on Jazz shoes, not lace up. This helps to keep the class moving. Black dance pants or capris. Hair must be pulled back and off the face.

Contemporary I / Lyrical I
Black or pink leotard, tan footless tights, black dance shorts, dance paws. Hair must be pulled back away from face.

Hip Hop & Breakdancing - All ages
Snug fitting top, nothing baggy. Comfortable athletic pants or capris. No shorts!
Hip Hop sneakers. No previously worn sneakers!

Tumbling - All ages
Any color leotard, black dance shorts or black cheer shorts. Hair must be pulled up and away from face.

Junior and Senior dancers in Level II Classes & Up
Any color leotard, pink or tan tights, black dance pants or capris, pink leather Ballet shoes, black Tap shoes, black slip on Jazz shoes, Hip Hop sneakers. Hair must be pulled back and away from the face. This includes bangs. OPTIONAL—Ballet skirt.

In Jazz II or II, Lyrical II and Contemporary II - Dancers may wear black dance shorts instead of pants or capris; however, tan tights must be worn.

Junior and Senior dancers may wear knitted warming layers, no warm up or athletic style clothing.
